Some pieces stop you the moment you put them on - this is one of them. I made this bracelet for the people who need things to keep moving - each scale is formed individually, overlapping the next in sequence, the full band built one disc at a time the way water builds a shoreline.
Copper has been worn against the skin for thousands of years by people who needed their blood and their bodies to stay in flow, and the ones who come back to me always say the same thing: they stopped noticing what they used to notice.
This is one of the last bracelets I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds the wrist that needs to keep moving.
HOW DO I KNOW IF IT'S REAL COPPER? + −
Pure copper isn't magnetic. Most of the copper jewelry sold online is either plated (a thin copper coating over a cheaper metal like steel or brass) or alloyed with enough iron or nickel to make it feel magnetic — that's the quickest way to spot a fake.
The test is simple:
- Grab any fridge magnet
- Hold it against your cuff, ring, or necklace
- If it sticks — even slightly — it isn't pure copper
- If it doesn't stick, you're holding the real thing
Every piece I make is 99.9% pure copper — never plated, never alloyed with cheap metals. Run the test on yours the day it arrives. If it ever fails, I'll refund you immediately.
